I cannot rate these guys enough, Alexis and Ellie are incredible, the facilities are first rate and the whole team just so friendly. I'd had a bad experience with a vet near home and these guys were honestly worth the 2 hour journey. From the moment I arrived thought to diagnosis and treatment they have involved me , kept me informed and treated my horse with the utmost care and respect. Honestly you will struggle to find a nicer more caring and knowledgeable veterinary practice. I can't thank you all enough, you've restored my confidence in vets. Tori

We took our beloved horse to Hirds Vets Rotherham today and saw Becky and her Team who where all brilliant kind and considerate I would just like to thank all the team for the hard work and care you all give. Amazing people

I had an appointment booked to assess my horse for lameness. On the morning of the visit, I received a call from the clinic stating the vet didn’t feel much could be done on the yard and that he would probably need to come into the clinic instead. I was then asked, “What is it you’re wanting?” and whether I was “just after X-rays to check for an abscess as advised by a farrier”—I’m unsure where this assumption came from. I had requested a lameness assessment, nothing more specific. Due to this confusing and unprofessional exchange I called back later to cancel. The receptionist didn’t ask why or show any concern, which made the interaction feel money-focused rather than horse-focused. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn’t use the clinic again.

Both my daughter and myself came back from Hirds raving about Alexis, I had sent some notes through about our horse prior to our appointment, she had clearly read the information. Alexis is super knowledgeable and explained everything to us clearly. Highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this place any more. Absolutely fantastic vet, super clean environment, caring and knowledgeable. I went on a scoping day, everything was very smooth and stress free. The vet (Alexis) was so super knowledgeable she actually diagnosed kissing spine just by looking at my horse and confirmed by xray. I'll be using these guys for everything from now on. Thank you for the great service and your care.
