Rotherham Vets for Pets is part of the Vets4Pets network; the clinic’s own site language describes practices as “locally owned.” It’s set up for routine procedures and ongoing medical care, with owners mentioning spays, neutering and microchipping, vaccination records, and regular monthly check-ups for long-term conditions. Review feedback is mixed: several recent reviews describe serious concerns about aftercare and record-keeping, while others describe being seen quickly (including a same-day appointment) and receiving compassionate, well-explained end-of-life care (including paw prints and a condolence card sent afterwards). The clinic is also listed as a Veterinary Nurse Training facility.

AWFUL VETS!!! Rude staff. Lack of Information. Poor after care. Now I have to pay another vet to fix your incompetence and get my boy fit and well again. You are an absolute Disgrace!!! SHAME ON YOU!!

Lovely staff - I was only there to get my foster cat spayed and chipped but they were very thorough and patient.

If I could give it Zero stars I would Will never go to a vets for pets again! Avoid this vets at all costs! Inaccurate notes that only cover themselves, missing off important details about conversations and can’t even get vaccination history right potentially leaving pets vulnerable to disease. What else do they miss? Complete lack of empathy and only out for profit that is blatantly clear. Waited 3 weeks to hear back from a complaint that I had submitted only to be told that it was my fault and they are refusing to take any responsibility for their lack of communication to owners leaving pets in pain and uncomfortable! As a good will Gesture they waived a £49 charge for a consultation that was included in my girls spay!

Great vets. I was able to get a same-day appointment for my dog, and the team were professional, friendly and genuinely caring. I’d definitely recommend them — a perfect service and experience overall.

I took my healthy young rabbit called Rupert to be neutered and he fell ill within 48 hours . He was taken back to the vets for a check up and by the time he was in the vets he was very poorly and we was told that it was probably a reaction from the aesthetic. Rupert was sent away after some tests and a pain killing injection although he could not even stand up . Rupert sadly had a Seizure and passed away in the car on the way home . We understand that there is a small risk with the surgery but the aftercare appointment was not good enough and he should have never have been sent home in this condition. The vet finally returned our phone call several days later and the vets notes about his condition were also inaccurate as he was much worse than they stated in the notes . We were left heartbroken by the experience.

I've been taking my dog Ronnie for the last 14years but sadly had to be put to sleep recently. All the vets we've seen were brilliant especially Chris ,,the best vet and good human you will meet,, and the reception staff were fantastic and caring .

I have been bringing my dog here monthly for a illness that will be a life long issue. The staff are all friendly and it's nice to have vets and nurses that care. Lady is happy to be poked and checked over as she knows what's happening as its so regular.

I went to get my 15 year old boy put to sleep and the staff and vet couldn't have made a bad situation any better, they where very professional and compassionate and the vet ran me through the steps that will happen and gave me as much time as I wanted to They even offered for me to go home and pay over the phone cause I was in a very bad emotional state and they sent him paw prints and a card to our house a few days later Thanks to all the staff I will be going here in the future I would highly recommend coming here for there finally journey
