Very bad Vets in Rotherham. They r not check microchip if u coming for apointment... Take money for visit and nothing helping... Custumer running away...

Our beloved dog started being very unwell in the early hours of March 2nd. I phoned requesting an emergency appointment but was advised nothing available until 15.40 which I accepted.By this time she had deteriated and had difficulty standing and had vomited and had blood in her poo.The vet examined her and concluded just an upset Stomach and gave her an anti-sickness injection plus a weeks supply of Omeprazole tablets and made an oppointment for next day at 11.45. Concerned I did try to get an emergency earlier but they could not offer one . Once there the vet immediatley noticed she had Jaundice and needed inhouse blood tests plus a further test for lepto4 plus a scan of her abdoman . These the tests confirmed she was positive for Lepto4 a deadly infection if not treated promptly plus her liver and kidney function was outside the test equipment range. More urgently she needed an emergency operation to remove her Gall bladder or she would die. This would take our total spend to £3700.There was no time to get appoval from our insurance so agreed to underwrite the amount . The practice advised it takes their local office with a staff of 4 look and look after the 12 practices in the group and typically take 2 to 3 days to process the pre approval. I checked with our insurance each day and it took 8 days to arrive . Our poor dog suffered for 19 hours and must have been in agony.Sadly she died during preperation for the operation around 3pm. On visiting the PetVet website I found a warning to owners of the Lepto4 infection and to seek immediate medical care if symptoms were present. Our dog displayed all if of these the at the first appoin tment but was miss diagnosed resulting in her being too weak to withstand the anesthetic and she passed away due to her heart failing around 3pm. I spoke to Heather the Customer service manager a few days later about the insurance delays and she disclosed the insurance team was down from 4 to 2 members and they were finding it difficult to recruit Staff to fill the vaccancies advertised . Heather said she would speak to there head vet about something she noticed but did not report back to me. In conclusion we felt that our beautiful little dog did not recieve the treatment she needed at the first appointment and if you need emergency approval for care or can't underwrite it your pet will suffer.

Our dog Woody had an operation to remedy 'terrier hop' at the Lincoln branch 4 weeks ago. This was performed by Hugo who has been very thorough and professional, explaining everything in detail beforehand. Hugo also reviewed progress after 2 weeks and Woody is doing well. We have found the staff to be very caring and helpful so, in summary, we have been extremely pleased with the service we have experienced from The Lincoln Pet Vet.

Following a recommendation, I made an appointment with Hugo Martins for my dog Samson. Following assessment, he needed TPLO surgery on both his hind legs. Hugo was professional, caring and explained everything in detail, even showing me models and videos of how the surgeries would be completed. Samson was in his first surgery within 4 days, with his 2nd surgery 14 weeks later. Hugo called and updated me personally after both surgeries. And following both 8 week xray appointments. He even did extra xrays at 2 weeks due to Samson holding his leg up. I can not fault the care Samson received from everyone at the Pet Vet. Everyone there are helpful, polite and professional. I would definitely recommend this practice. Thank you for giving Samson a normal life back

Had to bring dog from our regular vets here for surgery it could've gone alot better, firstly whoever was working the morning reception lost my insurance forms was assured it would be looked into and let me know once found but I never heard back again, asked for dog claws to be trimmed while asleep also wasn't done, wasn't given any pain meds for dog was expected to just use what I had at home and also didn't put her cone on because she "wouldn't walk with it on" she wouldn't for me either and risked her eyes getting damaged on pick up all in all I'm hoping we won't have to go again seems alot of miscommunication between staff and general lack of care
